Projects. Teams. We learned it beginning in little league baseball. There is no I in team. In this very office we have a picture celebrating the teamwork displayed in a v flying flock of geese. That picture is directly above the sign telling people to clean up their own dishes. (I believe the “clean your own dishes” sign is an office staple. They should sell laminated ones in office supply mega stores.)
In July, ECMS Worldwide got to experience the most literal team project out there. A day with Habitat for Humanity gave us a break from the norm, a little hard manual labor, a chance to serve the better good, and an opportunity to work with each other in a newly integrated way. In home building, teamwork is so literal. For example, if Heather and Ashley didn’t hold up the window I was nailing it would break. Aahhh, the parallels to ECMS projects are endless.

Another attractive aspect of the day was that we were able to see this from the eyes of our homebuilder clients. Holding a hammer makes it easier to know what features of a hammer one should highlight in an ad. Though I have seen it on our website, I have now held insulation myself. Getting inside of the mind of the audience is a necessity for good communication.
There are few things more valuable at ECMS Worldwide than teamwork. From producing TV shows to cleaning the dishes. Because your Momma doesn’t work here.
