At this past Flash Forward, one of the coolest things I saw was this internal tool that Big Spaceship created for one of their Nike sites. It had a video loop running where you could add blurs and partcile effects. This is extrememly helpful in finding the right settings for an effect. A tool like this could be handed to a designer who could “turn the knobs” and find the right look and then the developer could just plug in the numbers. Below is my incomplete attempt at replicating the tool. I rendered the video loop from Poser.
